Ever since Fiat Chrysler started dropping 707-horsepower Hellcat engines into its cars, we’ve been wondering if and when the Chrysler 300 would get the same treatment.

The 300 shares its platform with the Charger and Challenger, which already have Hellcat variants, so it makes sense, right? According to this latest report from Automotive News, we won’t be wondering much longer.

In a report detailing the future of Chrysler’s lineup, Automotive News mentioned that before Chrysler refreshes the 300 for 2019, it will build a Hellcat version of the luxury sedan in late 2018. Why? Well the engine fits, so why not?

Autoizer News doesn’t mention much else, but judging by how they were the first publication to report on the existence of the Dodge Demon, this report shouldn’t be quickly dismissed. If you’re wondering what exactly a Chrysler 300 Hellcat might look like, AutoGuide has a collection of spy shots that are believed to be just that.
