Germany has registered 1.648 new PEV passenger cars, down 9% Year-on-Year, something that could be explained by the delay in the kick start of the new incentives.

The Renault Zoe is a solid leader (1.279 units YTD vs 796 for theAudi A3 PHEV), having been the best seller in the previous months of April and May, but in June the 226 deliveries of theTesla Model S allowed it to win over the Zoe, if by only one unit, and earn its third Best Seller trophy in Germany, after March 2014 (143 units) and June 2015 (224).

The Third Placed in June, the VW e-Golf, stayed far behind the first two, not managing to reach 100 units, but nevertheless, its 97 registrations were the best result in a year for the all-electric Golf.

Meanwhile, the Italian PEV passenger car market continues on the slow lane, having registered only 167 units in June, representing a 19% drop over the same month last year.

The Nissan Leaf is Italy’s favorite EV, but it had an off month in June, having registered only 15 units. Its worst result of the year and the first time in 2016 it stayed outside the top three positions, with these positions being credited to the Renault Zoe (26 units, year best), VW Golf GTE (24 units, best result since January) and Tesla Model S (21 units).

In the Year-to-date ranking, the Nissan Leaf leads with 276 units, followed by two BMW’s, the 330e, with 203 units, and the 225xe Active Tourer, with 183.
